37 Illegal Loan Apps Delisted by Nigerian Government: See the Full List
37 more unauthorized loan applications have been delisted by the Nigerian government.
On September 11, 2023, the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission announced this.
As a result of the change, there are now 164 fully authorized loan applications, up from 154 as of the recent updates.
From 40 to 38 loan applications received conditional clearance, while the number of applications on the commission’s watchlist increased from 20 to 56.
Remember that on August 20, 2023, FCCPC started the process of permanently delisting and removing at least two lending apps from the Google Play Store for intimidating Nigerians.
According to The PUNCH, the FCCPC asked Google to remove illegal apps from its play store that are functioning without legal authorization or in breach of the Limited Interim Regulatory/Registration Framework and Guidelines for Digital Lending, 2022 (Guidelines).
