Mzee Yosia Mwesigye, an 83-year-old Ugandan man, has become a parent for the first time since his first marriage decades ago.
After his first wife died at the age of 79 without bearing any children, he welcomed his first child with a new woman.
Mzee said he waited 57 years with his late wife, adding that doctors stated she was fertile but that he had no remorse over her inability to bear children.
The Octogenarian married the love of his life, Jane Tukamuhabwa (now deceased), on April 25, 1962, when he was only 23 years old, according to the Daily Monitor.
His wife was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2005, and she died in 2018. He remained faithful and stuck with her through the difficult times, hoping that one day they would have a child. Unfortunately, his wife was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2005, and she died in 2018.
Years later, when he was 79 years old, Mzee discovered love again when his sister brought a woman to see him at home, and she later became his new wife.
After two years of marriage, his 29-year-old wife became pregnant, and on March 23, health personnel at North-Kigezi Health IV Rugarama delivered a newborn boy.
