A fan who named his baby after award-winning Nigerian singer, Davido, in 2020 claims that the artiste has failed to follow through on a promise he made to him two years prior to the birth of his child.
The man, who goes by the Twitter handle @AmamaMyko, had tagged Davido and tweeted that he named his son David in honor of the ‘Aye’ singer as a result of his admiration for him.
He wrote: “My wife just gave birth to a bouncing baby boy and I named him David cos of the love I have for @davido and I want him to be successful like @davido. King David come and bless my son ooo”
In response, Davido had said; “Show me proof !! And I’ll make ur life a living proof that OBO DEY !!!”
However, two years after making the promise, the man has come forward to beg Davido for assistance, claiming that he followed all of the requirements set forth by the singer.
He took advantage of the situation to implore the DMW boss to include him among the beneficiaries of the N20 million giveaway to 20 business people that he announced on Wednesday.
According to Amama, his son celebrated his two-year birthday today, March 17, and he felt it was a good time for the singer to pay tribute to the young man.
