BREAKING: Another Nigerian senator is dead

A Nigerian lawmaker, Ignatius Longjan, is dead. He passed on on Sunday night after fighting with an ailment, a northern legislator who inquired not to be named since he isn’t approved to create the declaration, told newsmen..

“Yes, he’s dead. We saw it this morning on our platform.” The senator said other officials have been sending condolence messages whereas they hold up for the Senate President to authoritatively make the declaration.


Until his passing, Mr Longjan, 75, represented Plateau South senatorial area within the Senate beneath the stage of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He was the Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Culture and Tourrism.

Prior to his race as representative, he was a previous delegate senator of Level State between 2011 and 2015.

His passing comes scarcely two months after Imo representative, Ben Uwajumogwu, passed on.
