Burna Boy, a well-known Nigerian musician, has disclosed that his famous song Last Last has brought in more royalties than any other song he has released since he began performing.
The Grammy-winning artist revealed this during an interview on Shopping For Sneakers when he clarified Toni Braxton’s claim that she received a sizeable cut of the track’s earnings.
Burna Boy used a sample of Braxton’s “He Wasn’t Man Enough,” which he claimed was a significant part of his formative years.
He said that his statement that she receives 60% of any revenue from Last Last was misconstrued by others.
The songwriter of the song who scored a hit with “On The Low” went on to say that the vocalist only receives 60% of the song’s royalties.
