Thomas Tuchel, the manager of Chelsea Football Club, has spoken about his team’s defeat to relegation-threatened Everton.
On Sunday, May 1st, 2022, the Blues lost their fourth consecutive game at Goodison Park. Tuchel Thomas did not attribute his team’s inability to penetrate the host defense on a lack of sleep caused by fireworks set off at their hotel the night before the game.
He also claimed Everton players got away with a number of heavy touches that his men were subjected to throughout the Premier League match. Tuchel was questioned about why he didn’t play Romelu Lukaku when his team needed a goal badly.
Chelsea were not in a safe position for a top four slot, according to the German, and are not in a safe position for a Champions League spot either.
