Willie XO noted that he listens to the radio and knows his songs are better than most of what they play. He also revealed that once DJ Xclusive asked one of his staff to pay N500k to play his song.

The singer added that the presenters and DJs asking for his money are the same people who would come to the club and he would buy drinks for. He said he believes in give and take and he would rather not throw his money away.
According to him, he would pay if they treated him like they treat other musicians. He said because of who he is the amount presenters and DJs ask for to play his songs is higher than what they ask others to pay.
