The majority of the sadness songs on Nigerian musician Adedamola Adefolahan’s debut album, Laughter Tears & Goosebumps, were about girls whose hearts he had previously broken, according to Fireboy DML.
In an interview with UK-based broadcaster Adesope Olajide, Fireboy made the admission and added that the love songs were about persons he had been watching.
The YBNL musician continued by saying that on his second album, Apollo, he finally made the decision to share his own tale.
Fireboy responded that he was worried and dubious because the album came out after he had just released two songs when Adesope questioned him about if he knew or felt that LTG would be a classic success.
However, Olamide supported his choice and gave his blessing after observing the ‘Peru’ hitmaker’s self-assurance.
Fireboy noted that creating an album is a “mindspace” for him, and he may choose to release albums five years apart or nine months apart.
He continued by saying that he had previously prayed to God for an album like Wizkid’s Superstar.
The musician claimed that after a protracted hiatus, he encountered his first creative block and believed he had lost his ability to compose songs. Olamide reassured him, though, that many artists go through this stage.
