“I didn’t want him to marry another wife, but it was his choice” Veteran Actor Pete Edochie breaks silence over his son, Yul Edochie second marriage

Pete Edochie discussed his feelings in an interview with Vanguard on Yul’s revelation that he had chosen a second wife.

The venerable actor admitted that although he didn’t agree with his son’s choice, he was forced to accept it because it was his.

I want the whole world and Nigerians to understand that as an Igbo man, I never support my son’s actions and as a statesman, I only recognize his first wife, May as the only authenticated wife of my son, the rest is banished from entering my household” noting that marrying two wives does not confer a manly status on anyone.

Pete Edochie also lamented saying,

“Right from when Yul was still a child, he never listened to him. “I’m not shocked that he has a son without my knowledge. A child that doesn’t listen to his father ends up cutting his or her life span short.”

Pete had previously expressed his opinion on Yul’s union with Judy.

According to Nollygistvibes, seasoned actor Pete Edochie responded to the issue surrounding his son Yul Edochie, who announced the birth of his baby son alongside his colleague Judy Austin.

Pete Edochie reportedly felt let down by Yul’s relationship with someone else after having four children with his wife of more than 16 years, May, who was his genuine wife.

Pete Edochie, a veteran, had issued the new wife an ultimatum, saying:

He wrote, “The love I have for this man is out of this world. My man for life. The last Don. Chief Pete Edochie @peteedochie May God grant you 75 more years on earth. Making it 150yrs in total. No matter what you’re passing through, never let it weigh you down. Problem no dey finish. Once there’s life then all is well. This weekend, enjoy life beer. Drink responsibily”.

Yul and Pete Edochie make amends.

However, Yul Edochie was able to reconcile with Pete Edochie, his father.

Yul Edochie and Pete have made up, putting aside their conflicts for the benefit of the family.

Yul posted a picture of himself and his father on his Instagram page, gushing about him.

He claimed that his love for his father was unfathomable.
