His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Okolue, who later adopted the name Esomugha after relocating to Ogwugwu Village in Enugu Agidi town in Anambra State, Nigeria, gave birth to him on September 25, 1976 in Libreville, Gabon.

His parents are Ngozi Gladys Okelue Esomugha and Stephen Okolue, whose last name was changed to Esomugha. He is from the Nigerian village of Ogwugwu in the Anambra State’s Enugu Agidi.
Jim Iyke is the only boy in his family of eight kids. His sister’s name is Natasha Esomugha.
He received his secondary education at F. G. C. Kwali Abuja from 1985 to 1991.

He continued afterwards by alleging that TB Joshua had abused him.
Jim, a black belt in karate who favors close quarters combat, is a proponent of self defense.
