I walked into the company suspiciously, I felt Timi could show up out of the blue. I didn’t want to meet with him at all.

I needed to clear my head and that required space from him.

“Hey Sharon, good morning.” Greg greeted and I smiled nodding.

“Good morning sir, you seem so happy this morning,” I said and he nodded smiling.

“Yes I am, since after our partnership with Timi, my joy has no bounds.” He said and I smiled faintly.

“So have you thought about it?” He further asked and u sighed.

I was about to talk when he began to walk away.

“I know you would agree to the terms, come, follow me to my office.” He said and I swallowed hard following behind him.

“I don’t think this is good for me Mr. Greg, I mean it’s been a long I painted, and I don’t trust my skills.” I started hoping he would back off.

“It doesn’t matter Sharon, that is the least of our problems. You could always start rehearsing again. Perfect makes perfect they say. Timi would be so pleased to help you out.” He said and sat on his chair.

I stood in front of his desk thinking of any better excuse that would make him forget me for the task but I couldn’t come up with one.

“Here are the papers, you have your pen? I could lend you mine.” He said and I shook my head.

“You don’t have to, I have my pen with me,” I said searching my bag for my pen.

“Sign here.” He said pointing to a small blank space at the bottom of the paper. Two were already filled by two signatures. No doubt, it was Greg’s and Timi’s.

I sighed and signed on to the last space. Looking up, I saw extreme happiness in Greg’s eyes.

“You are going places Sharon, I promise you, you would never regret this decision. Trust me.” He said and I nodded and accompanied it with a faint smile.

“Thanks. So when and how do we start?” I asked and he pointed to the chair in front of him.

“Sit, I would go over what is written in this contract okay?” He told and I nodded sitting down.

“So…” He uttered picking up the contract I signed.

“Here are the rules, you would start working with him in his company from your lunch hour till your closing time.” He said and my eyes widened.

“What?” I asked in awe and he chuckled.

“Alright, let me refine my statement. What I mean was that you would come here for the morning session and then go to his company for the evening session. After your lunchtime.” He said and my lips parted.

“But that would be so stressful,” I said and he nodded.

“I know Sharon and I am so sorry about that, and don’t worry you would be highly compensated for it. Your salary would be doubled, and Mr. Timi would give you some token too.” He explained and I nodded reluctantly.

“Is that all?” I asked and he shook his head.

“And the last, you could be summoned by him anytime. You would have to heed to his call, he is more or less your boss now.” He said and I scoffed.

“My boss?” I asked and Greg sighed.

“It’s no big deal Sharon, everyone would want to grab this opportunity. It’s worth it Sharon. You are excused.” He said and I bobbed standing up.

I carried my bag and walked to the door with my head filled with thoughts.

I got to my office and sat on my chair switching on my PC. I was going through some graphics when I saw someone drop a cup of coffee on my table.

“Hey Nima, thank you so much. I am happy you brought me this.” I said reaching for the coffee.

“I saw you looked so stressed, and it is unusual of you to look like this in the morning. So as a junior colleague, I thought it would be nice of me.” She said and I smiled widely.

“Thank you so much, you have thought so well. And I like you.” I said and she smiled.

“I hope you are alright? I noticed you haven’t been yourself since yesterday when that handsome man came to see Greg.” She said and I nodded.

“Yes, I think the handsome man is my boss now,” I said sadly and she leaped for joy.

“Really?! I would love to work under a man like that, come on, you should be happy about it.” She stated and I sighed.

“Nima, I am married,” I said and her eyes widened.

“Oh My… I am so sorry. I never checked your finger.” She said and I chuckled.

“It’s fine. I know right.” I said and she bobbed.

“You will be fine, I know it’s hard changing your boss now. But it will be fine, I bet it’s for the best.” She noted and I smiled.

“Thanks so much, I would love to go back to work now. Thank you so much for the coffee.” I said and she smiled walking away.

I breathed out sipping the coffee out of the cup.

I sat in the restaurant waiting patiently for Valeria to come in. I couldn’t wait to pour out my mind to her.

“Baby girl!” She yelled and I rolled my eyes tiredly.

“Do you have to always create a scene?” I asked and she laughed sitting on the chair.

“How are you, baby girl? You look super stressed. Tell me what is on that pretty mind of yours.” She whispered and I sighed.

“Timi is now my boss. Hurray!” I stated sarcastically.

“Are you f**king kidding me? How did that happen?” She asked in shock and I bowed my head slightly.

“We had this contract…” I said and kept shut when Valeria raised her hand to stop me from talking.

“Phone call, from my boss.” She whispered and I raised my brows nodding.

She stepped out of the restaurant and I placed my head on the table feeling so overwhelmed.

She walked in afterward patting me on the hand.

“Sharon I am so sorry, I need to go now. Some urgent issues came up and I need to attend to them as soon a possible.” She said and I nodded.

“Alright, see you soon,” I said trying to force out a smile and she nodded.

“Bye, I love you.” She said kissing my cheeks and she walked out of the restaurant.

I felt my heart burning, I needed someone to talk to if I wanted to remain cool with Victor but now I didn’t know who to talk to. Valeria was gone.

Immediately, an idea popped into my head.

“Granny Gloria!” The name sparked inside my head and I stood up immediately.

“I need to go there.”
