Just one night story

(No strings attached 🙃)

I woke up the next morning and found out I had slept on the couch. After Becca left, I felt so shameful and started to think about things to the extent that I didn’t know when I fell asleep.

I sighed cleaning my face with my palm. “I need to find Sharon today. I need to apologize to her and make her hear me out.” I thought standing up and walking to the room.

But then, I wasn’t sure if she was going to go to her working place with how she was last night. I don’t think she would be able to concentrate at all.

I picked up my phone again and dialed her number, I prayed silently that she picked up so I could guess where she was.

I looked at the wall clock and saw it was past 10 am. “Wow, I am super late for work. But I don’t care, I need to know where Sharon is, I need to fix my marriage.”

Her phone rang and rang and she didn’t pick up. I couldn’t blame her, I would do the same thing if u were in her shoes.

I dropped my phone on the bed and started getting rid of my pants. I was going to take my bath and move out of the house to search for Sharon.

I would head to her working place first and make inquiries about Timi too. Hopefully, she wouldn’t be there and would be with him at home.

I need to know why my wife thought of him at the moment. Why couldn’t she call her friend? Or parents? Why him? That bastard f**king saw my wife’s nakedness.

“Can you just shut up? You are feeling angry about that over a wife you treated like a hoe?” Another part of myself said and I shut my mouth.

“We make mistakes, and this is my own mistake. I would correct it, and make sure I don’t go back to it. She would regret trusting me again, never will she regret it.” I thought as I stood under the shower.

“Good morning.” I greeted looking at Sharon from the kitchen where I was making Pancakes for breakfast.

“Good morning.” She responded sitting up and rubbing her eyeballs with her finger.

“I hope you slept well,” I added with a large beam of a smile on my face and she nodded smiling faintly.

“Thank you so much for yesterday. I shouldn’t have disturbed you at all. I am so sorry about that Timi.” She apologized and I shook my head approaching her.

“No Sharon, do not apologize to me okay? You needed me to be there and I came there for you. I am so sorry about how he treated you.” I said squatting in front of her and she sighed.

She looked at her wrist which I helped her bandage and I took her hand in mine and helped her check it out.

“We would have to change this, this morning. Once you have taken your bath, I got something for you to wear already, I would help you clean and change this.” I said and she looked at me.

“No Timi, you don’t have to do all this. I would be on my way home now, I have the first aid box at home and I would sort this out.” She said and I shook my head.

“No Sharon, I don’t think you are ready to face Victor now. It is so obvious you need some time away from him. I am not saying this to pin you here or gain your trust, you can go somewhere else, away from here and from your home. You try to think and figure out what you want to do next.” I said looking into her eyes and all she did was stare back at me with tears gathering in her eyes.

“I love you Sharon, and I would never have wished your husband treated you like this. If you are happy, then I am happy. I promise myself not to force things that can’t work. So, you can go away from me and think for the sake of your marriage.” I said and she nodded.

She pulled me into a hug and hugged me tightly, I closed my eyes as we made contact, I felt she needed to be comfortable in my arms.

“Thank you for this Timi. You are the best of all the men I have met in my entire life. I know this is hard for you, but I am so happy you understand that marriages do have crises.” She said and I nodded.

“So you have decided on what you want to do?” I asked and she nodded.

“I would go on a two weeks vacation. Somewhere far from here, I would love to be alone. I need to think and figure out what is best for me in this situation.” She told and I nodded.

“That sounds great, and that also includes not telling us where you are going and where you would be. Don’t tell me especially because I wouldn’t be able to stop myself from coming to see you. I would miss you so much and the next thing that happens is I meet myself on the road heading towards you.” I said and before she could respond.

The door swung open and Victor barged looking so fierce. “I can’t believe I forgot to lock the door when I took off the trash.”

“Victor? What are you doing here?” Sharon said standing up and walking to him?

“Thank God you are here baby. I am so sorry Sharon.” He said and I kept mute. I didn’t want to interfere, at least not now.

“How did you find me?” She asked and he sighed shooting me a deadly look while I just stared at him with a cold face.

“I went to your working place and made inquiries, thank God I found you. I have come to take you, home baby, we can talk about this.” He said and Sharon breathed out.

“Can you just let me be for now? I would be coming home very soon, but not now.” She said and Victor furrowed his brows.

“Why not now? Sharon, please. Let us go now, I don’t trust him with my wife.” He stated and I clenched my fist in anger.

“Oh, so you are the trustworthy one? Victor please just go. I would come home.” She said walking away from his presence and he wanted to follow her.

Then I walked towards him making him stop.

“Respect her decision for once and get the hell out of here,” I said trying to keep cool.

“F**k you!” He muttered and walked out slamming the door again.
