I got to the house and knocked on the door waiting for Victor to open up.

After a few seconds, I heard the door open and I walked in with a very faint smile on my face.

“Hey, Sharon.” He said happily pulling me into his arms tightly and hugging me firmly.

I pretend to smile a little and later disengaged from the hug.

“I am so happy you come back, Sharon.” He started carrying the bag in my hand and walking back to the couch.

I sat on the couch and he walked into the room to put my bag in there.

“He thought I am here to stay.” I thought watching him as I sat. All I did was stare at him, waiting to say my last words to him also.

He walked out of the room again and headed to where I sat. He sat next to me with a remorseful look on his face.

“I am so sorry for all that happened Sharon. I didn’t mean to go crazy that way, I visited the therapist because of this issue, he said I should present it to you calmly, but I went out of my sanity. I am so sorry.” Victor explained and I nodded trying not to burst into tears again.

He made me remember what I had passed through that night, and I began to feel teary again.

“The therapist knows what you did instead?” I asked and he gulped shaking his head.

“I couldn’t face him afterward. I am scared he will tell it to myself that I can’t change.” He replied sadly and I sighed.

“I want to ask you a question Victor and I need you to be faithful,” I told and he bobbed paying rapt attention to me.

“Have you been meeting with girls that love sex that way? It wasn’t as worse as this until recently, when you came back from the trip. You tried to satisfy me in bed, we tried to satisfy each other, but then it’s not enough anymore.” I stated and he bowed his head.

“I met with a girl. She loves sex like this and since I met her, I have always wanted to try it with you. If it was another type of sex, I can’t perform well. This is who I have been, I have just been trying to keep that side from you all these years so you wouldn’t freak out.” He explained and I scoffed.

Tears rolled down my face before I knew it. I wasn’t seeing this marriage working anymore. We weren’t meant for each other, how didn’t we see this right from the beginning? Our hearts belong somewhere else.

“And where is this lady now?” I asked looking at him.

“Anywhere she wants to be Sharon. Why are you asking after all? I want to make this right between us.” He said and I scoffed.

“You know deep down this can’t work right? You aren’t the only one that has been with someone else inside this relationship. I have been with someone else too.” I told and his eyes widened.

“That Timi guy? Hun!!! I knew it!” He yelled in anger and I shot him a deadly look.

“You have no right to be vexed, we made the same mistakes okay? I was wrong and you were wrong. And we can’t continue this way.” I explained.

“So you want to go back to him and be his wife?” Victor asked and I shook my head.

“No, I said my goodbyes already to him, and I am here to say mine to you. I think I need some space to think and make decisions. For now, my mind is not itself.” I told and he nodded.

He looked a little calm knowing I wasn’t going back to Timi.

“So you are leaving?” He asked and I bobbed.

“Just for a few weeks. I need to clear my head somewhere.” I responded.

“I can help you with that, we can go somewhere baby. We can start all over in a place no one knows us, somewhere beautiful.” He said smiling, he held my hand and I moved my hand away from him slowly.

“No, I need to do this alone Victor. I am sorry but if I keep seeing you, I would keep remembering what you did to me and I would hate you even more. I am doing this without you okay? I just need some few weeks.” I uttered and he nodded bowing his head again.

“Can I at least know where you are going?” He asked and I shook my head.

“This is known to me and me alone. And please Victor, don’t find me when I am gone. Live your daily life and forget about me for these few weeks.” I added with a shaky voice.

He kept silent for some minutes staring at me until I looked at him.

“You are not coming back, are you?” He asked sadly and I shrugged my shoulders.

“I don’t know yet. I need to start parking.” I said standing up.

“And Victor, if you respect me and love me the way you claim, you would give me the space I need,” I said walking into the room.

I got into the room and Immediately my eyes fell on the bed, my eyes became teary again. I shut my eyes tightly and gulped hard before walking to the closet.

I opened the closet and began to pack all my clothes into the bag.

“This would be the last time I would step my feet into this house. I need to get away from all these, I am a young girl and I can’t keep living like this.” I told myself as I shed tears.

I drove to my brother’s house, after taking a long look at Sharon’s house.
It seemed peaceful and I acted like I didn’t see it.

I knocked on the door and waited for anyone at home to open up. I knocked for minutes until the door finally opened and it was Granny Gloria behind the door.

“Hey Son, you need to be more patient. You almost knocked down the door.” She said in a shaky voice dragging her feet back to the couch.

“Where is everyone?” He asked and she looked at him.

“I don’t know. Maybe they went on a picnic, I have no idea. You can come back later if you want to see them.” She said and I sighed sitting next to her.

“Can I talk to you then?” I asked and she nodded smiling widely.

“Of course, I have always wanted you to.” She said excitedly and I sighed.

“It would be a brief question. A girl I love so much is about to leave for some reasonable reasons, she doesn’t want me to reach out to her at all. What do I do? Should I just forget about her?” I asked.

“You said she is leaving for reasonable reasons, the let her. Everyone has their choices to make, don’t deprive her of hers because of how you feel for her. She knows well you love her right?” She asked and I nodded.

“Yes, she does. But she isn’t in the right state of mind to make decisions.” I said and she smiled.

“Then let her be okay? if she wants you, she would come back. She will always reach out. And till then, don’t put a stop to the activities in your life. She could get there and start a new life, and forget all about you. Don’t blame her.” Granny explained and I smiled.

“What?” She asked.

“Sometimes I wonder why you weren’t a marriage chancellor during your youthful age,” I said and she chuckled.

“Respect her decision child. If she wants space, give it to her. Who knows, you may not even be meant for each other in the very first place.” She told and I bobbed sadly.

It was the truth and it was hurting.

“Thanks, Granny. I would do exactly what you have told me.” I said and she rubbed my shoulders smiling.
