PART 6

I walked down the street swaying my waist like I always do. I embraced my bag and tightened my jacket against my body. I was kinda cold.

The air kept blowing my hair all over my face and it was pissing me off so bad.

“Can you just stop!” I yelled in frustration, and the people around me startled me and stared at me like I had gone crazy.

“Are you alright?” An old woman that was passing by asked and I looked at her and smiled.

“I am fine, I am just kind of frustrated,” I uttered and she smiled nodding.

“I know how it can be for young women, I have been in this stage before, and believe me I was more frustrated than you can ever imagine.” She said and she caught my attention.

“Are you going my way?” I asked and she giggled.

“I don’t know your way but all I know is that the end of the road is my destination.” She said and I smiled.

“Then you are going my way, my house is before the end of the road,” I replied and she nodding walking like she was carrying a heavy load on her back.

“What are you doing out here at this time? You should be home, letting your children watch over you. Do they know you are out here?” I asked looking at her as we walked.

“Yes they know, but even though they don’t like the idea of me coming out, they have no choice but to let me out.” She said and I smiled staring at her grey hair. They were all grey, no single black strand on her head.

She is probably in her nineties if I ain’t mistaken.

“So why are you out? I bet you have anywhere to go.” I said and she giggled.

“You are right, I have nowhere to go but I love seeing young women and men like you enjoying their lives, especially at night. It makes me remember my youthful days… Oh dear, you have no idea.” She said and I chuckled.

“I certainly don’t. Can I ask you a question? You may have an idea about it.” I stated and she nodded smiling.

“I could give it a try.” She responded.

“This friend of mine, she slept with a total stranger at the expense of her marriage, and right now she is confused,” I said and she busted into laughter, and I furrowed my brows looking at her.

She was beginning to make me regret bringing up the issue in the very first place.

“This made me remember when I did an evil thing, I always narrated it to the second parties as it was my friend that did it. At that moment, everyone always has this nad friend. We all make mistakes, and it’s very good to admit it.” She said and I sighed

“Fine, I am the one. I don’t know what to do.” I said and she looked at me.

“Do you love your husband?” She asked and I nodded without thinking.

“Yes, of course, I do,” I replied.

“And this stranger?” She asked and I rolled my eyes breathing out heavily.

“I don’t know what I feel about myself. But I don’t want to lose him either. I know I may sound selfish, but I feel different around him.” I said and I looked up to realize I was in front of my house already.

“Oops. I have gotten home.” I said surprisingly. It was super fast.

“It’s an okay child. My son’s house is the last house on the road, you can come to talk about this more, I would be here to listen.” She said and I nodded smiling. Finally, I got to speak to someone about how I truly feel aside from my best friend. I felt my secrets were safe with her.

“Sure, I would. Thank you so much for today, Ma’am.” I said smiling.

“Call me Gloria, I am Gloria.” She responded as she began to walk away.

I stood there for seconds watching her as she dragged her feet. I sighed and heading straight to my door, I felt my head was spinning.

What was I expecting? After the drama at the office. Sharon, don’t be surprised.

“Victor should be home.” I thought pressing the doorbell and waiting for him to answer.

“I will be there! Just a sec!” He said from inside and I shut my eyes, breathing in and out nervously. I needed to be as calm as possible so he wouldn’t suspect anything from me.

He asking me questions is the very last thing I wanted.

He opened the door and I saw him dressed so handsomely. He wore a turtle neck top and tucked it in one of his best trousers.

“What are we celebrating?” I asked with a curved brow.

“Don’t tell me you have forgotten baby,” I said collecting my bag and holding my hand, he walked me in and I still had the confused look on my face…

Not until when I got to the dining table and I saw the flowers and balloons, food and wine, and so many decorations he had on and around it.

“Sh*t, I forgot my wedding anniversary!” I screamed in my head, and I felt victor hold my waist from behind.

“I wanted to surprise you and I am happy I did. Happy five years to us Sharon.” He said and I smiled turning to face him.

I planted a kiss on his lips rather than saying a word. I bet that was easier.

“I need you to go to the bathroom, freshen up. I got your gown ready, it’s on the bed. You put it on and by then I would be done with all these.” He said and tears watered my eyes.

“Aren’t you so sweet?” I muttered.

“Save the talks for later baby. I would be waiting.” He said kissing my forehead and walking to the kitchen. I smiled widely and headed to my room.

For a few minutes, I forgot about Timi.

TBC…

Why do I prefer Timi 🥴🥴🥴

Am I the only one that is on Timi’s side? 😂😂😂😂
