Controversial Weeks after criticizing Davido on social media, Nigerian artist Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, has issued a formal apology to the latter.
Recall that the two appeared to have broken up during the Osun governor’s race in July because they both backed competing parties, creating a conflict of interests.
While Portable conducted a campaign for Gboyega Oyetola of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Davido backed his uncle Ademola Adeleke, who ran and won on the PDP platform.
In the midst of the controversy, Portable disclosed Davido unfollowed him on Instagram and responded by insulting the 30BG leader.
Open your ears and listen. My father isn’t a rich man, I am not a son of a rich man, I am from the trenches. I am the one that brought riches to my family. Open your ears so my words can enter.
“I am running and hustling in this manner and it is simply because of money. And also to avert the suffering my family had to endure, which doesn’t become my portion. Once again, my father is not a rich man. I come from the trenches but managed to bring my family into wealth. So support who support you. They wasted no time in unfollowing us”. He said.
Portable, who was recently given a chieftaincy title by the Onitigbo of Tigbo, was forced to apologize to Davido during a recent ceremony.
