Three weeks after his detention, Nigerian DJ and entertainer DJ Chicken was freed from police custody.

You might remember that he was detained the first week of May after being accused of being involved in a hit-and-run with his automobile in Lakowe, Lagos.
He was shown in a viral video being mobbed by people after allegedly knocking down a person and trying to flee, but he was apprehended and his new car was smashed as a result.
He was about to be beaten up by the throng, but a few individuals begged for him to be spared, so police were called.
After being freed, DJ Chicken recorded a new video in which he appeared to have dropped a lot of weight.
His head had been skin-cut, with no hair left. As usual, the street performer offered a shout-out to his followers and expressed his happiness at being released.
