Netizens reacts as Regina Daniels shows advocates for Nigerian citizens
Fans of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels Nwoko applaud her for supporting the welfare of the populace.
The movie diva posted a video of her husband at one of his Senate meetings outlining policies to raise the standard of living in the nation on her Instagram feed.
Regina admitted that she is always hearing and writing down ideas that, in her husband’s opinion, have the potential to raise the standard of living for Nigerians.
She mentioned how high and prohibitive banking interest rates are one of the problems that citizens are dealing with.
Regina cried out for lower bank interest rates, declaring that people should be able to borrow money to meet their necessities and repay it without having to pay exorbitant fees.
“My ears and notepads are filled with so many things that my husband strongly believes can change the living standard of Nigerian citizens. This is one of the issues citizens are facing in Nigeria. Banking interest rates are exorbitant and prohibitive. As long as it remains like this, the economy can not improve. People must be able to borrow from banks to sort out their needs such as growing their business, medical bills, tuition fees, and even holidays. Just imagine, if you give your money to a bank as a savings deposit, they will pay you are borrowing, you pay them about 23 percent interest. Which is almost 5 times the difference and it is totally unfair to the People. People should be able to borrow to finance their needs and pay back to the banks without the burden of excessive charges. By so doing, there is the circulation of mine in the country which will, in turn, improve the living standards of the people”.
