Netizens reacts as Speed Darlington demands N5k before fans can snap pictures with him [Watch video]

Drama recently unfolded at a popular shopping mall in Ajah, Lagos state, when the talented musician, Speed Darlington, made an appearance. However, the scenario took an unexpected turn when the artist reportedly requested a fee of N5k from his fans before agreeing to take pictures with them.

The fans who recognised him and wanted a snap were taken aback by his request and were quick to label him as arrogant and condescending. The entire incident was captured in a video which quickly went viral on social media, with fans expressing their disappointment and anger towards the rapper.

In the video, Speed Darlington can be seen engaging in a heated argument with his fans, defending his stance on charging them for pictures. However, the fans, feeling insulted and humiliated, were not shy about expressing their displeasure towards the artist. One of the fans even went as far as mocking his footwear and ridiculing him for not being successful enough to act like a star.

Another fan questioned Speed Darlington’s worth and bragging rights, to which the rapper replied by lambasting them for following him around the mall. The altercation continued for some time, causing a scene in the shopping mall.

While the incident has left some fans disappointed, it has also sparked discussions about the conduct of celebrities in public spaces. Some fans have expressed their support for Speed Darlington, stating that he has the right to charge his fans if he so desires. However, others have criticised him for his behaviour, stating that it was unnecessary and uncalled for.
