President Buhari arrives Abuja after two weeks in London
After attending King Charles III’s coronation in the United Kingdom, President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Abuja.
The President’s aircraft left the nation’s capital on May 3 for the event, which took place on May 6, 2023. It arrived this evening at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
After the coronation ceremony in London, President Buhari was supposed to fly back home, but on the recommendation of his dentist, his spokesman Femi Adesina said that he will stay in the UK for an additional week.
He “will remain in London, the United Kingdom, for an additional week, based on the advice of his dentist, who has started attending to him,”
Late on Tuesday, May 9, Femi Adesina, the President’s Special Advisor on Media and Publicity, issued a statement.
Since taking office in 2015, he has traveled for medical treatment for at least 232 days.
