Cristiano Ronaldo, the forward for Manchester United, has received yet another honor to add to his collection of personal accolades.
The Portuguese was chosen the winner of the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award at Manchester United. The news was confirmed on Manchester United’s official website on Saturday, June 4th, 2022. The award is decided by Manchester United fans.
Ronaldo will win the award for the fourth time; he won it for the third time during his first stay at Old Trafford, which included the seasons (2003/04, 2006/07, and 2007/08). The only player to win the honor four times is David De Gea.
This season, Ronaldo has scored 24 goals in all competitions, with 18 of them coming in the Premier League. He came in third place behind Mohamed Salah and Son Heung-Mon, both of whom scored 23 Premier League goals.
