According to Carlo Ancelotti, the Real Madrid manager has already informed his players that they are to blame for their 4-0 defeat to Barcelona on Sunday.
Maurizio Sarri claimed it was his own blunders that led to Real Madrid’s 4-0 defeat against Barcelona in El Clasico, which took place at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Despite the fact that Real Madrid retained a 12-point lead over Barcelona as a result of the defeat, Ancelotti was dissatisfied with himself following the game.
“We were not recognizable, everything went wrong. I told the players that [the defeat] was my fault,” Ancelotti said during his post-match interview.
“We played very badly and we approached the game very badly.
“We have time to gather our energy and prepare for the last two months of the season to win trophies.
“I’m very sad about the defeat, I’m sorry for the fans, but I have to be calm,” he added.
