The second of his parents’ eight children, Robert Oyimemise Peters was born on June 6, 1973, in Sabon Gari, Kaduna State, Nigeria. He was born in Ososo, Akoko Edo local government, Edo State, to Afemai-descendants Lawrence Adagba and Comfort Peters.

St. Gregory Primary School in Kaduna was the location of Robert Peters’ early education. He graduated from the University of Jos in Nigeria with a degree in mining and geology. Mr. Peters completed a Visual Storytelling course at New York Academy in 2004.

Additionally, he visited REDucation in Atlanta for training on Red cameras and gear as well as for on-the-job training with the Film Career Connection.

Zachary Lawrence Onafa-Orafa Peters, the couple’s son, was born to Robert and Deborah Peters.

Robert Peters Early Life and Education

Early in the 1970s, Robert Peters was conceived into the lovely family of Mr. Lawrence Adagba and Mrs. Comfort Peters.

In 2006, Robert Peters began his career as a cameraman and editor. Peters has contributed as a cinematographer and film editor to a number of African-American productions.
