Seun Kuti Handcuffed and arrested by Nigeria Police for Physical assaulting a police officer
Seun Kuti, an Afrobeats musician, was handcuffed and taken into custody by the police after allegedly assaulting a police officer.

According to Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesman for the Lagos Police, Seun Kuti turned himself in to the authorities this morning, May 15, 2023.
”SERIOUS ASSAULT ON POLICE OFFICER: SEUN KUTI TURNS SELF IN,” reads a statement from Hundeyin.
Seun Kuti, an afrobeat singer, surrendered to police this morning at the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters in Ikeja while accompanied by his attorney and a member of his family. He has been detained in accordance with the law.
The Command acknowledges the public’s concerns and assures them that the continuing inquiry will be thorough, open, and properly conducted, and that everyone affected will receive clear justice.
