Three military officers who were deployed to take part in the Democracy Day Parade at Abuja’s Eagles Square on Monday passed out during the ceremony.
They were said to be weary after spending hours standing in one area in the sweltering sun.
The Army, Navy, Air Force, and Police all performed at the occasion.
When everything happened, there was confusion and stress, according to The Punch, but security and medical staff raced to their colleagues’ aid with stretchers.
The three officers were taken to the medical shed on the State Box’s left side, where President Muhammadu Buhari sat.
There were no reported casualties because they were successfully treated and quickly regained consciousness, according to reports.
