She was born Gbemisola Anthonia Adefuye on July 20, 1985, the youngest of five children. She started her studies at Our Lady of Apostle Primary School before transferring to Queen’s College in Lagos. Following that, she went on to the University of Lancaster in the UK, where she obtained a degree in marketing and economics. She also attended the Relativity Film School in Los Angeles to hone her acting skills.

Toni discovered her love for photography in her final year of college, and in 2009, she returned to Nigeria to begin her professional career.

Toni traveled from the UK back to Nigeria in 2009. She had previously taken three months of photography instruction from a tutor in London.
