Woman cries out as she seek court to dissolve marriage because her husband refused to stop cheating after 11 years
Mrs. Oluwatoyin Falade, a Nigerian woman, has applied for the dissolution of her 11-year marriage at an Orile Agege Customary Court.
On May 17, the 44-year-old wife entered the plea due to her husband Segun’s alleged adultery.
Ages 8 and 11 are the children of the petitioner, who resides in Agege, Lagos, at Tunde Davids Close.
My husband is a flirt, he runs after anything in a skirt. I had two girls before I married him, ages 15 and 18.
“They stay with me and I don’t trust my husband because he chases everything in a skirt”.
In addition, Oluwatoyin said that her husband “changes women anyhow” and doesn’t value her.
The petitioner described how neighborhood folks made fun of her as a result of the circumstance.
In response, Segun, a member of the Lagos State judiciary, acknowledged to adultery and bringing “different women” home.
My Lord, you can see my wife is fresh. She’s not suffering. I bought her a phone recently, I pay the children’s school fees,” he said.
The 46-year-old man pleaded with the court not to grant the dissolution, promising that if given another chance, he would make things right.
The Court President, Adewale Adegoke, instructed them to maintain their composure during the proceedings after hearing from both parties.
The case was postponed until May 30 in order to use an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) process.
